Walt’s Wonderland

Walt’s Wonderland is a book in two parts – Part I: Dreams, and Part II: Diary. It follows the dream world of an unnamed daughter of a market stall seller in Brixton Market, Electric Avenue. Walt Disney is a childhood friend of her mother, and he visits Brixton nearing the end of his life, actualising machines from her dream world landscapes. The interpretation of her dream world machines by Walt comes to fruition – he transforms the empty space in Electric Avenue into a floating building spanning across two sides of the street. The diary documents the unnamed daughter as she traverses Walt’s landscapes, and years later after his death, his impact on Electric Avenue.
